I will machine stitch them to the background either with a small button hole stitch, a blind stitch or satin stitch. It all depends on what stitch I decides either enhances or at least doesn't detract from the image.Gwyned Trefethenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13041159153171283941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8230694326800494480.post-11464551954600996082013-07-27T14:15:45.460-07:002013-07-27T14:15:45.460-07:00As soon as I read your post, I realized you were r...As soon as I read your post, I realized you were right. The scale of the seaweed is little off. Since it is fused solid, it stays. However, I will hold this thought for the next incarnation. I am thinking of taking a detail from Companion Oysters and turning that into my next quilt.Gwyned Trefethenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13041159153171283941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8230694326800494480.post-78613222619074929622013-07-27T14:13:28.102-07:002013-07-27T14:13:28.102-07:00Thank you, Muv.Thank you, Muv.Gwyned Trefethenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13041159153171283941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8230694326800494480.post-89370605928607940582013-07-27T14:13:14.106-07:002013-07-27T14:13:14.106-07:00Thank you, Ester.Thank you, Ester.Gwyned Trefethenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13041159153171283941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8230694326800494480.post-33234906407403840122013-07-27T14:13:00.846-07:002013-07-27T14:13:00.846-07:00Wonderful, Regina. There were times I thought I might skip a lesson or two. After all I was quite comfortable with stippling. However, I found even doing lessons for something I knew cold was worth it. I ALWAYS learned something new and the practice was invaluable.Gwyned Trefethenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13041159153171283941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8230694326800494480.post-53238686259712608942013-07-27T14:09:55.783-07:002013-07-27T14:09:55.783-07:00On-line is essential when one is geographically ch...On-line is essential when one is geographically challenged.

I'm glad you like the oysters and seaweed.Gwyned Trefethenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13041159153171283941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8230694326800494480.post-72206954999094915502013-07-27T11:49:50.990-07:002013-07-27T11:49:50.990-07:00I loved your background for the new version of EYL...I loved your background for the new version of EYL, the colours are beautiful. I love my bee group for this. I had never considered or heard of an online group, but this would be a huge benefit for those who don't have a guild or bee group that meets in person.

Love your oysters.
