I am the ultimate owl, always muddling along, with a natural aversion to plans.

The dark blue sky is wonderful, and it is lovely to see the puffy clouds FMQ pattern in there.

Thank you for linking up with Free Motion Mavericks!

Love, Muv Muvhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00734374133479479218noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8230694326800494480.post-11869532728611211352015-11-06T14:03:59.971-08:002015-11-06T14:03:59.971-08:00A friend once stated emphatically that I was "...A friend once stated emphatically that I was "the most organized person" she knew. I guess I've always been pretty organized -- had to be, to get anything done! Now that I don't have a 5-days-a-week job outside the house, and have no one to care for but myself and the cat, I prefer to think of myself as more flexible. In reality...I'm probably not! I work in a shop 2 Tues/Thurs each week, so try to devote M-W-F-S to mainly studio/SAQA time. That said, the definition of "studio/SAQA time" is pretty broad...and I often take a bit of time on one of those days to meet with a friend or to do some volunteering. Also those are the only days I have to take care of the house/car...so...I too get up early (4 or 5) most days, and go to bed early...I too write Morning Pages (most days) and jog at least 3 of my days off, varying the time of day to match daylight hours (very few streetlights out here). And Sunday I reserve for sabbath rest -- time for faith practice in community, time for naps, reading, a long walk...a slower pace.

Your latest sunrise piece puts me in mind of those prehistoric shells...ammonites...A wonderful shape!Margarethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04472013513744969837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8230694326800494480.post-83759088808934394812015-11-06T11:42:32.358-08:002015-11-06T11:42:32.358-08:00Now I see how you get so much done. For instance on my days off, I walk the dogs at the same time on the same day at the same place every week and so do others. There are a few of us 9 am dog walkers and we kind of get to know each other. Cool. I love the sunrise piece - beautiful work.quiltedfabricarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00036237963134480179noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8230694326800494480.post-32377788363207804292015-11-06T10:51:55.481-08:002015-11-06T10:51:55.481-08:00Deconstructed Sunrise #3 is a gorgeous piece!Deconstructed Sunrise #3 is a gorgeous piece!Angelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01579473031377014416noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8230694326800494480.post-85957150846518537792015-11-06T10:17:16.879-08:002015-11-06T10:17:16.879-08:00I am curious to know - do you go to bed early or j...I am curious to know - do you go to bed early or just not need much sleep? I like Deconstructed Sunrise #3 a lot - lovely colours and I like they way they shift through the quilt.Kajahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08417544341324291385noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8230694326800494480.post-82299370013767948902015-11-06T06:28:16.479-08:002015-11-06T06:28:16.479-08:00As always, I love your posts, Gwyned, and hope I a...As always, I love your posts, Gwyned, and hope I am getting back into a flow where I read blogs more regularly. I do admire your discipline....I haven't reached a point yet where I can set definite days every week for specific activities. Instead I think I look at a week and plan time for each activity. Doesn't always work I admit but at least I know what my goals were. Judy Warnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07644738305279130498noreply@blogger.com
